And Congratulations to the development team here for getting this release together.
It give me great pleasure to announce the release of “Vienna - Desktop Edition” Version 2.1. For those of you awaiting the 2.1 “Server Release” this will be on Monday 9th.
We have listened to the results of the survey and will be looking at video capture and new test case types for Vienna 2010 (Due for Release Q1 2010).
We have started a new survey and any feedback will be appreciated. You can also provide feedback by emailing our support team.
We are also developing our “Vienna Enterprise” Onsite & Cloud offering for release in Q1 2010 so please keep an eye out for it.
Vienna Enterprise is a Microsoft SharePoint 2007 enabled web version of Vienna. This can be hosted by NMQA (Microsoft Azure) or deployed on site.
If you require further information feel free to contact us at NMQA.
Trials of Vienna - Client Server will also be available from our website with the 2010 Release.
You can currently request a month trial of client server by emailing support@nmqa.com
The highlights of the 2.1 build can be summarised as below:
· Vienna Help File is now packaged within the build.
· You can import and export to and from Microsoft Excel from the Requirements and Defects Module.
· When you Automatically Raise Defects all the test steps up to the defect are automatically added to the defect record.
· When you import any entity from a Vienna File Type or Excel (Requirements & Defects Only) you can replace existing entities or add to your current listing.
· Vienna 2.1 supports Internet Explorer 8 and Google Chrome fully.
You will need to uninstall the previous version and then install 2.1
We would recommend that you export all of your projects before uninstalling to be on the safe side.
